Luz Hutchins

Luz founded the school in 1986 and authored the proprietary Spanish Grammar & Conversation textbook series still used in class today. Her Visual-Interactive method has helped thousands of adult learners across San Diego reach fluency.
Originally from Guatemala City, Marco holds a B.S. in Engineering from Tec de Monterrey and a professional translation certificate from UC San Diego. He brings a rigorous, analytical approach to language — ideal for professionals and technically-minded learners.
A native of Papantla, Veracruz, Lucía holds a B.A. in Communications from Universidad Intercontinental, Mexico City, and served as Director of Communications for Mexico’s Secretaría de Agricultura. Her dynamic teaching style brings real-world fluency to every lesson.
