Lucía Pardo Buil

Lucía is a native Spanish speaker, born and raised in the historic town of Papantla, in the beautiful state of Veracruz, Mexico. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications at Universidad Intercontinental in Mexico City.

Before teaching, Lucía built an impressive professional career — working in advertising, television production, and serving as Director of Communications for the Secretary of the Agriculture Department in Mexico. This background gives her a sophisticated command of language across professional and creative contexts.

She has been teaching Spanish in San Diego, CA to students of all levels, ages, and cultures for 18 years. Lucía’s enthusiasm and warmth are among her many teaching tools — she genuinely inspires students to not just learn Spanish, but to love it.
